Nancy’s Story
Nancy’s daughter, Colleen, reached out to us about the need to sell her mother’s house. Nancy was getting older and needed her house to sell hassle free in Bethlehem, PA. Nancy was moving to be closer to Colleen for health reasons. She had already purchased a new home and needed to sell the old house hassle free and in its current condition. After viewing the house we made them an offer which they accepted. We are so happy that we could help be a stepping stone to Nancy’s new life.
This Bethlehem ranch’s potential was hidden by its disheveled appearance. Weeds had taken over and the awkward solar heater on the roof made it almost impossible to see the beauty it would become.
Plan: Clean up the exterior, remove the non-functioning solar heater, and create a visually appealing façade.
The solar heater was removed when we replaced the roof. New windows were added and the façade freshened up with fresh paint and new landscaping. The front posts were boxed out and enlarged. The craftsman style door was added to give this home much needed curb appeal.
Living Room
The hardwood floors weren’t in bad shape here so we touched them up and added a soft gray paint color to the walls to create an inviting space to relax.
Kitchen
The kitchen was a throwback to the 70s. It lacked necessary cabinet and counter space, so we added a center island with seating and a pantry to solve that problem. Recessed lighting was incorporated into the design to really highlight the space.
Dining Room
Family Room
The family room was large and had additional space which we converted into an upstairs laundry area. We painted the walls and transformed the fireplace adding a thick wood mantel.
Bathrooms
Neither of the bathrooms had a tub. We converted the bathrooms into functional spaces by adding a tub and new vanity in the second bath and replaced the broken vanity in the main bath.
